Results and lessons learned of Sweden’s Regional Development Cooperation with Asia and the Pacific
For more than two decades, Sweden has supported regional development cooperation in Asia and the Pacific through partnerships with multilateral organisations, regional networks, civil society organisations and other strategic actors. As Sweden’s regional strategy was phased out in June 2026, the assignment took stock of key results and lessons from this long-term engagement, including outcomes, emerging impacts and factors contributing to results. The work was jointly conducted by experts from three Sida thematic help desks, with Jonas representing the Help Desk on Democracy and Human Rights.
